ICC 2011 Cricket World Cup Tickets on sale online
The ICC Central Organising Committee (COC), chaired by ICC Vice-President Sharad Pawar, have met in Mumbai to approve the first phase of sales for in excess of 100,000 tickets for the 2011 World Cup – less than nine months out from the tournament.
Mr Pawar said afterwards: “The prices confirm the promise we made that the tickets would be affordable and accessible. I am sure that cricket lovers in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka as well as those from around the world will be excited at the prospect of being able to plan their trips to the matches in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 and be a part of the Cup that Counts.”
Match tickets are on sale via the ICC website www.iccevents.yahoo.com and at box offices in the three host countries in the near future. Ticket prices begin at as low as US $20.
